The Schafhof
Tradition, top horses and dressage sport
The historic Fronhof developed into an important sheep farm in the 17th century, where 3000 sheep once grazed. Dressage has shaped the Schafhof since the 1970s: under Liselott Linsenhoff, the farm became a renowned center where she was the first woman to win Olympic gold in dressage. Her daughter Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff and her family continue the tradition today, breeding and training award-winning dressage horses and preserving valuable bloodlines. The Schafhof regularly opens its doors for events such as the international Schafhof Youth Festival, the “Preis der Besten” dressage tournament and special breeders' days - a lively place for the sport of dressage and its future.
